The confusing part about this is: the flashback at the end of I Remember You seems to imply that Simon found Marcy AFTER that big bomb blast. It would be some simple math perhaps to say just that the bomb hit 1000 years ago (we could even do a BB and AB timeline) and that at that point, Marcy was 4 years old, Simon was 44, and some point after that impact they met. We know SaM takes place 996 years before present time, and the bomb had hid at that time.
